Ruby Dee Philippa spent a childhood scuttling back and forth between the no-longer wild foothills of North-Eastern central California and the flat cotton-lined fields of the Texas panhandle, running barefoot in the country kitchen gardens of both. After years working on boats in Alaska, then owning highly-rated restaurants in Seattle, WA, Ruby finally has settled in Austin, TX to further her long awaited musical career as singer/songwriter for her Americana roots and rockabilly band, Ruby Dee and the Snakehandlers.
